Capitalizing on the popularity of both green tea and martinis, bartenders began creating tea martini recipes in the mid 2000's.
The tea martini is a classic gin or vodka martini flavored with iced tea. Any type of tea can be used, although green tea is a popular choice for its antioxidant properties and mild flavor.
